A Personal Message from Jade Beutler

Jade Beutler is the Chief Executive Officer of Lignan Research L.L.C., a company specializing in research, development, and manufacture of novel, lignan based, phytochemicals for over-the-counter (OTC) application. Lignan Research is the first company in the world to isolate, concentrate, purify, and standardize lignans in the introduction of a lignan-based nutraceutical.

Jade is a licensed health care practitioner graduating from California College for Health Sciences in 1983. He subsequently passed his entry-level national board examinations in 1984 and advanced level national licensure accredited by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance in 1986. His hospital and clinical experience spans over a decade with disciplines in adult and neonatal intensive care, pediatric, and emergency medicine.

Jade left a senior management position at Kaiser Permanenete Medical Center in 1994 to found NatureMed Research Inc. (NMR), a consulting company dedicated to the research and development of phyto-pharmaceuticals. One of the first phytochemicals of interest to NMR was a specific lignan highly researched for its relationship to a reduction in risk of breast, reproductive, and related cancers.

NMR corroborated with Dr. Norman Lewis, the Institute of Biological Chemistry, and Washington State University in a research project to develop techniques to isolate lignans from natural sustainable resources. Lignan Research L.L.C. was formed after winning two consecutive Biotechnology Research Grants from the Washington Technology Center. Mr. Beutler was invited to present the second grant award, Lignan Based Strategies for Cancer Prevention to the Washington State Legislature. 

A combined seven years of individual, institutional, industrial, and university effort will culminate in the national launch of the lignan-based product Brevail in the summer of 2003. Brevail is designed specifically for women interested in taking a proactive approach toward breast health.

Lignan Research founder and CEO Jade Beutler is extremely excited about creating "a new paradigm" centered on proactive prevention rather than reactive treatment.

Jade resides with his wife of 11 years in San Diego California.
