Lignan Research CEO Jade Beutler founded the company in 1997, with the goal of creating proactive health alternatives that focus on prevention rather than treatment. As a leading proponent of the beneficial properties of lignan, Beutler directs the company’s product research and development initiatives to provide cutting-edge lignan-based nutraceuticals.

Beutler is a licensed health care practitioner with more than a decade of hospital and clinical experience. Determined to advance preventative medicine, he left a senior management position at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in 1994 to form NatureMed Research, (NMR), a consulting company dedicated to developing natural solutions for proactive health care. Inspired by emerging evidence of its relationship to the risk reduction of estrogenrelated cancers, Beutler concentrated NMR’s efforts on a specific class of lignan called SDG (secoisolariciresinol diglycoside).

Beutler was instrumental in forming the world’s first consortium of lignan experts which has attracted international medical and research professionals. In 1997, after securing two consecutive research grants, Beutler founded Lignan Research, a company dedicated to advancing breast health through highly concentrated lignan-based nutraceuticals.

As a result of Beutler’s dedication and breakthrough technology, lignan from flaxseed was successfully isolated, concentrated, purified and standardized. The result is Brevail®, a lignan-based product designed specifically for women who want to take a proactive approach to breast health and hormonal harmony.

A recognized pioneer of lignan education and research, Beutler authored “Flax for Life” (Apple Publishing). He is currently developing a women’s breast health resource book on the preventative benefits of a lignan-rich diet, slated for publication in 2003. In addition, Beutler has published and been featured in numerous magazine and website articles, and has appeared on a variety of radio talk shows and interviews.

Beutler leads Lignan Research’s continuing research and development initiatives in his quest to provide products, and the education around them, that combine natural solutions with science to promote vitality and wellness.

###Brevail® was carefully researched and developed for express use by adult females 18 years or older, and may be used before, during and after menopause. There are no known adverse side effects related to lignan supplementation. As with all nutritional supplements or pharmaceutical drugs, suggested dosages of Brevail should not be exceeded without the advice of a licensed health care professional. Though no negative effects have been reported, Brevail has not been researched in pregnant, lactating, or in women attempting to conceive. Therefore it is advised that use of Brevail be discontinued during these times. Brevail is not intended for use as a breast cancer treatment.
