Shaping Your Destiny
A Personal Message From Jade Beutler, CEO
Brevail is the result of a seven-year odyssey. An odyssey of blood, sweat, and tears. Though I, and others, devoted seemingly endless time and energy into the development of Brevail, our sacrifice pales in comparison to that of women who have faced a breast related health challenge. Multiply a single breast cancer occurrence by 400,000 new cases and 46,000 deaths per year in the U.S. alone. The sum total of human suffering attributed to breast cancer is absolutely unfathomable.
Now imagine that a great number of these cases could be avoided altogether. Imagine the years of happy, productive, and vibrant life experienced by these women and the people that love them. Is it possible to put destiny in our control when it comes to such a devastating illness? I believe that in many instances it is possible, and I believe the answer lies with the estrogen window – a timeframe of estrogen exposure in each woman's life.
I believe the difference between fate and destiny is that you can plan your destiny in advance. It is my personal mission to put you in control of your destiny related to the promotion of breast health.
To this point, women have had few options when it comes to ensuring breast health. As a result, many women live in fearful resignation. At last there is good news concerning this important concern, and the good news is Brevail. With Brevail comes a fresh new approach to breast health away from reactive treatment and toward proactive breast health, empowering and embracing women. For many women, fear and resignation dissipate in exchange for confidence and peace-of-mind.
Though it has taken seven years to bring Brevail to fruition, my journey has just begun. I cannot pretend that I can convince every woman to take a proactive approach toward breast health. However, it is my mission to make women aware that they may shape their destiny with this approach.
Can I make a difference? Can Brevail make a difference? The truth is that I can only be successful to the degree that you decide to take a proactive approach toward your breast health. Perhaps you have heard the story of a woman walking along a golden Mexican beach. The tide had lowered leaving thousands of starfish stranded on the sand for as far as the eye could see. Every so often she would pick up a starfish and throw it into the surf saving it from impending death. A man walking in the opposite direction and witnessing this event eventually intersects the woman and asks, "what are you doing, surely you cannot hope to make a difference?" The woman slowly bent down, picked up another starfish and threw it into the surf, then simply replied, "made a difference to that one."
Should Brevail make a difference in your life, I will be tremendously gratified. With Respect and Gratitude, Jade Beutler, CEO and Founder Lignan Research L.L.C.
